Apple Insider Josh Ong reports the iPhone 4S will officially launch in China on Friday, January 13th  in China, joining a long list of such not-so-notable markets as Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos and Uganda.

Rumors of the official launch date in China have been circulating for months and the delay for the domestic launch (Hong Kong has had the 4S since November and even Russia and Taiwan beat us to the punch) seem to be due to a combination of regulatory red tape and stock.

Nevertheless this round of international roll-outs is apparently the fastest for a new model iPhone yet and next week’s launch will make the 4S available in “90 different countries,” according to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

In related news, the LATimes reports that Apple will not be partnering with China Mobile for the time being (as opposed to current bedfellow China Unicom) and Chinese speaking users can expect Mandarin language support on Siri later this year – the 4s that hit the stores this month will be English-only for now.

So you can finally exhale and start fingering your wallets if you’ve been waiting to get one, but do consider this: Speculation is already mounting that the iPhone5 and a “China-focused iPhone 4-plus” will be launched this fall.
